Porch Swing Orchestra

PSO no.211 was recorded in a cemetery in Hostyn, Texas (not to be confused with Houston, Texas), and I made the images with a camera my great-grandfather used. This image is a composite of two black-and-white negatives that I developed in my kitchen with a mixture of peppermint tea, soda crystals, and vitamin C.

In a first for me, I “stabilized” the film using a saltwater method used by Henry Fox Talbot. The film soaked for 36 hours. The images are “stable,” but not fixed, and will change over time. I am really excited to see how they might change!
